Top 100 eHealth Companies in the UK | 2026
UK eHealth companies raised £744m in 2022 at the peak of the post-pandemic wave — and, unlike many digital sectors that boomed and busted, the investment pipeline has held. Annual funding has stayed above £348m every year since, with 2025 delivering another £488m. In total, eHealth companies in the UK have raised £3.80b across all equity fundraisings tracked by Beauhurst.
We’ve ranked the top 100 eHealth companies by total equity raised (all data sourced from the Beauhurst platform).
What is eHealth?
eHealth — short for electronic health — covers the use of digital technology to deliver, manage, and improve healthcare. It spans telehealth platforms, remote patient monitoring, electronic health records, digital pharmacies, AI-assisted diagnostics, mental health apps, and software for clinicians, carers, and hospitals.
Beauhurst tracks 748 active eHealth companies in the UK, up from 246 in the final quarter of 2015 — a 204% increase over the decade. Together, these companies have raised £3.80b, with £3.10b of that arriving since 2020 (81% of the sector’s all-time total). The 94 companies reporting full financials generated £2.65b in turnover, and the sector supports an estimated 132,097 employees across the UK — the largest workforce of any technology sector we’ve analysed.
Key findings
- Cera tops the ranking with £480m raised. The East of England-based company provides homecare, telehealth consultations, and app-managed prescription services, and is the only top 100 company across our sector series to employ more than 1,000 people.
- Huma (£251m, London) takes second place in hospital records and remote patient monitoring, followed by Flo Health (£207m, London) in women’s health tracking, Osler Diagnostics (£144m, South East) in handheld biomarker testing, and Pelago Health (£103m, London) in digital substance abuse treatment. The top five account for 31% of all equity raised in UK eHealth.
- London hosts 52 of the top 100, followed by the South East (12), East of England (10), and North West (6). The top 100 spans 13 UK regions in total.
- Venture-stage businesses lead the top 100 (44), followed by growth-stage (28), 15 established companies, and six exited businesses — 21 mature names in total, second only to adtech in our series and a reflection of how long the NHS and private healthcare have been digital software buyers.
- The top 100 collectively raised £2.84b — 75% of the sector’s all-time total.
Methodology
To be included in this list of edtech companies, companies must be:
- Headquartered in the UK
- Operating in the ‘eHealth’ Beauhurst industry classification
- Listed as ‘Active’ on Companies House
We’ve then ranked these companies by total equity raised.
And if you’re a Beauhurst subscriber, you can try this search for yourself.
All data for the analysis was taken from the Beauhurst platform, and is accurate as of 15 April 2026.
All data for the ranking list was taken from the Beauhurst platform, and is automatically updated weekly.

The future of eHealth in the UK
New eHealth company formations surged through the late 2010s and early pandemic years, peaking at 66 new businesses in 2020 before settling into a more moderate 38 to 59 per year range. Investment trajectory tells the more distinctive story. 2022 remains the sector’s peak at £744m, but — unlike edtech, which crashed from £698m in 2021 to £132m in 2025 — eHealth funding has held above £348m every year since. 2024 delivered £511m and 2025 another £488m, making the most recent two years the second and third-biggest on record. 2026 has opened with £57m raised through the first quarter.
Remote care and telehealth remain the sector’s dominant theme, with Cera, Huma, Doccla, Current Health, and HealthHero among the top 100 all building different parts of the virtual care stack — from app-based homecare delivery to wearable monitoring and remote clinical consultations. The NHS’s continued push toward digital triage and virtual wards has given these companies a structural tailwind that long-outlasted pandemic-era demand. Alongside remote care, digital pharmacy has emerged as a distinct funding magnet — Phlo Digital Pharmacy, Evaro, Pharmacierge, PillSorted, and Healthera all feature in the top 100, each building technology to digitise prescription ordering, fulfilment, and delivery.
Mental health and women’s health have both scaled into serious categories. Healios, HelloSelf, Limbic, PsyOmics, Cambridge Cognition, MindLabs, and Mindstep span therapist platforms, AI-driven screening, and neurological monitoring. On the women’s health side, Flo Health’s £207m total is the stand-out, but Hertility, Hormona, and emm all sit in the top 100 too, suggesting investor appetite has broadened well beyond a single flagship company. A third emerging cluster is AI-assisted diagnostics and clinical decision support — Portal Biotech, Enhanced Genomics, Abtrace, Eolas Medical, BlueSkeye AI, and Limbic are applying machine learning to protein sequencing, electronic health record analysis, face and voice data, and clinical pathways. Together these themes suggest eHealth has moved decisively out of its pandemic-era framing and into a broader digital health infrastructure story — one that investors have been willing to fund through four consecutive years of macro headwinds.
