Top 100 Computer Vision & Voice AI Companies in the UK | 2026
UK computer vision and voice AI companies raised £635m across 38 deals in the first quarter of 2026 — already more than the £461m raised across the whole of 2025, and the sector’s all-time peak with three quarters still to go. The surge has been driven by a step-change in voice AI investment, with London-based ElevenLabs reaching an $11b valuation. Across all time, UK computer vision and voice AI companies have raised £2.92b in equity funding tracked by Beauhurst, with 76% of that total arriving since the start of 2020.
We’ve ranked the top 100 computer vision and voice AI companies by total equity raised (all data sourced from the Beauhurst platform).
An overview of the computer vision and voice AI sector
Computer vision and voice AI covers companies developing software that interprets visual content (photos, video, biometrics) or audio content (speech, music, voice patterns), typically using machine learning. UK computer vision and voice AI companies span text-to-speech and voice AI platforms, biometric identity verification and fraud prevention, transcription and translation, computer vision for autonomous vehicles and robotics, facial recognition for security and authentication, advertising and audience analytics, surgical and medical imaging analysis, and generative AI applications creating new audio and visual content.
Beauhurst tracks 243 active computer vision and voice AI companies in the UK, up from 70 in the final quarter of 2015 — a 247% increase over the decade. Together, these companies generated £2.15b in turnover according to latest financials and support an estimated 19,306 employees across the UK. Across all time, computer vision and voice AI companies have raised £2.92b in equity funding tracked on the platform, with the first quarter of 2026 alone delivering £635m — already more than any prior full year and indicating a generational moment for the sector driven by the commercialisation of generative voice and vision models.
Key findings
- ElevenLabs tops the ranking with £606m raised. The London-based voice AI company develops text-to-speech, dubbing, and conversational AI models, and accounts for 21% of all UK computer vision and voice AI equity raised to date — by far the largest single-company contribution within the sector.
- GB Group (£568m, North West) in identity verification and fraud prevention takes second, followed by Rezolve (£364m, London) in image and voice-driven mobile commerce, Oxa (£254m, South East) in autonomous vehicle perception software, and RWS Group (£225m, South East) in AI language and content services. The top five account for 69% of all UK computer vision and voice AI equity raised — the most concentrated top five we’ve measured in any sector.
- London hosts 53 of the top 100, followed by the South East (10), the North West and East of England (eight each), and the South West and East of Scotland (four each). The top 100 spans 12 UK regions, with one entry from Tayside reflecting the sector’s geographic reach into specialised research clusters across Scotland.
- Seed-stage businesses lead the top 100 with 43 entries, followed by venture-stage (29), growth (13), and established (nine), with four exited and two dead. This is the most early-stage profile we’ve measured: 72 of the top 100 sit at seed or venture stage, reflecting how recently generative AI has reset the competitive frontier in voice and vision and how much of the sector is being built right now.
Methodology
To be included in this list of computer vision and voice AI companies, companies must be:
- Headquartered in the UK
- Operating in the ‘Computer Vision & Voice AI’ Beauhurst industry classification
- Listed as ‘Active’ on Companies House
We’ve then ranked these companies by total equity raised.
If you’re a Beauhurst subscriber, you can view this list directly in the platform and apply additional filters to refine the results.
Analysis accurate as of 27 May 2026. The table below is updated weekly to reflect the most recent data from the Beauhurst platform.

The future of computer vision and voice AI in the UK
UK computer vision and voice AI investment has fundamentally changed character in the past 18 months, with the first quarter of 2026 alone (£635m) already exceeding every prior full year and ElevenLabs’ Series D pushing the company past an $11b valuation. The sector that was historically dominated by biometric verification and transcription has become a foundation-model story, with generative voice, vision, and multimodal AI commanding the lion’s share of new capital.
The top five account for 69% of all equity raised across the sector’s history — the most concentrated top five we’ve measured — yet beneath that concentration sits 43 seed-stage businesses still raising their first cheques, indicating that the next cohort of category leaders is forming right now.
Voice AI is the headline catalyst, with ElevenLabs (£606m) anchoring a wave of UK companies competing on speech synthesis, transcription, and conversational agents — including Speechmatics (£75.9m), Trint (£12.3m), Auris Tech (£3.74m), and Say It Now (£4.54m). Computer vision and biometrics form the second pillar, with GB Group (£568m), iProov (£64.0m), V7 (£35.2m), Realeyes (£40.0m), Plumerai (£13.4m), and Pimloc (£11.9m) building infrastructure for identity verification, video intelligence, and embedded vision.
A third cluster spans applied AI for specific verticals — Oxa (£254m) in autonomous driving, Move.ai (£14.2m) in sports performance, Giraffe360 (£50.4m) in property capture, SenSat (£32.9m) in infrastructure visualisation, and Scalpel (£6.28m) in surgical safety — pointing to where computer vision and voice AI is being woven into industry-specific workflows.
With this in mind, it’s possible that — depending on broader economic conditions and the pace at which generative AI matures — UK computer vision and voice AI completes its transition from a research-led sector into one of the country’s defining commercial AI categories. The capital is concentrating heavily at the top while the seed-stage pipeline broadens; whether the early-stage cohort produces the next ElevenLabs-scale outcome, or whether the existing leaders extend their dominance, will shape how much of the global voice and vision AI market the UK ultimately captures.
FAQ

How much funding have they raised?
Computer vision and voice AI refers to software that interprets visual or audio content using machine learning. UK computer vision and voice AI companies span text-to-speech and voice AI platforms, biometric identity verification and fraud prevention, transcription and translation, computer vision for autonomous vehicles and robotics, facial recognition for security, advertising and audience analytics, surgical and medical imaging, and generative AI applications creating new audio and visual content.
London is home to the largest number of top 100 computer vision and voice AI companies with 53, followed by the South East (10), the North West and East of England (eight each), the South West and East of Scotland (four each), Northern Ireland (four), Yorkshire and the Humber and the East Midlands (three each), and the West Midlands, Wales, and Tayside (one each). The top 100 spans 12 UK regions.
The number of active UK computer vision and voice AI companies has grown 247% over the past decade, from 70 in the final quarter of 2015 to 243 today. Annual investment has reached unprecedented levels, with the first quarter of 2026 alone (£635m) already exceeding any prior full year — driven primarily by generative voice AI and computer vision investment.
UK computer vision and voice AI companies operate across a wide range of sub-fields including text-to-speech and voice AI, biometric identity verification, transcription and translation, computer vision for autonomous vehicles, facial recognition for security and authentication, advertising and audience analytics, surgical and medical imaging analysis, computer vision for property and infrastructure, sports performance analysis, and generative AI applications creating new audio and visual content.
