Our solution
Identify Prospects
Mason and the team use the BeauhurstSales platform, utilising the Advanced Search functionality, to dig into specific sectors and buzzwords. Mason explains how they use it:
“Advanced Search has a plethora of data. We use it to run searches for companies at different stages. We also run lots of fundraising searches, looking for companies recently raising. The sector searches are particularly helpful too, looking through buzzwords to broad sectors.”
With all the information you need on companies in one place—the Beauhurst platform—the team has been able to overlay these searches with specific metrics such as valuations and financials.
“Beauhurst has been really, really important to us,” says Mason, “It’s been vital, not only for the valuations, financials and filings metrics, but also to enable us to focus on how we target and review companies that are suitable to build a pipeline of ideal clients.” Using the Beauhurst data platform, the business was able to collate a list of 50-100 companies that perfectly match their needs.
Due diligence
The next stage in JP Jenkins’s process is to vet and onboard other companies. Mason detailed to us how crucial this stage is: “Being a business that needs to onboard other companies, it’s so valuable to find companies and immediately start due diligence by looking for directors and majority shareholders that are involved in that company.”

For JP Jenkins, vetting inbound enquiries quickly to ensure that their sales team is only spending time on prospects that are a good fit is important. Mason shared that by utilising our data, they are able to not only save significant amounts of time conducting due diligence but to do the right due diligence on inbound queries, specifically ones that came through their website.
It’s not only the financial data they are using. The data that we hold on people—shareholders, directors, hiring status, contact details—make it particularly helpful for the team at JP Jenkins. “Through the data, we’re able to not only analyse the previous funding rounds and valuations but also simultaneously look through the corporate structure and find key individuals,” explains Mason.
Keep clients informed
For existing clients and partners, Mason shared they are able to use Beauhurst to keep track of progress and offer support when needed. The team at JP Jenkins use the ‘My Collection’ feature to monitor these companies over time and stay up to date. Mason says, “The collection feature is fantastic—we’ve been using it to keep track of the companies we’re working with, including our clients and partners further afield.”

“Beauhurst reports are key, and the research is second to none. All of our team uses them. The weekly blogs are also really helpful. It’s a great way of keeping up with different regions and sectors, and exit activity, as businesses that are potentially rooting for an IPO are of keen interest to us.”
